Why is real estate sooooo boring!?
it makes me get on yahoo answers for entertainment...You're still young yet and have a lifetime to decide what you want to do for a living. Real Estate is just one. It's good that you get to see what happens before and after all the negotiations and to meet people to should you decide could be very helpful to you. But I understand that a receptionist job can be boring, especially after the holidays!Maybe real estate is not right for you.maybe because you make more money than us.......you could awalys go to Yahoo Games, as well?Maybe its because you dont understand it. And if you did, you would be a agent, not a receptionist. Im pretty sure a agent makes more money. Okay....you just said your age after I made my comment. You should have provided more information first.When I was an agent, one of the things I most enjoyed was showing the houses, and doing open houses. Watching people's reactions as you showed and demonstrated features of the home.
I also loved getting to see some very lavish houses, and having a goal to shoot for.
Another thing about seeing the homes of other people was that I got some very excellent ideas for my own house.
My suggestion would be to begin working on your own real estate agent license. As a receptionist you have probably already accumulated knowledge about the industry.
Agents make more money (especially in a good market).
If no agent is available to a client at the time you answer the phone, you could always do the showing because you would be licensed.You are 19 ...and clueless and oh yeah....19.
