How much do you know about BBB?

BBB stands for Better Business Bureau, this site is suppposed to tell you if a company or charity is legit. But are all companies listed? What has your experience been with them?It it supposed to handle disputes between customers and the companies. They also list if the company has any complaints in the past.

My experience has been that it is a marketing tool and a waste of time for consumers. Only companies that pay the BBB to become members are listed. I had a complaint and the BBB made it so difficult that we never made a complaint. They have little effect in helping the consumer to correct any problems.

Considering the companies pay the BBB, you can see where the loyalty of the BBB lies.
